Experienced Noise Induces Hearing Loss Paralegal or File Handler required for a Greater Manchester law firm

Your new company
This is a large and growing insurance based law firm who are recruiting for noise induced hearing loss file handlers in their Bolton office in Greater Manchester. The firm are specialists in complex, casualty and corporate sectors, with excellent and award-winning teams in areas such as counter-fraud, complex injury, healthcare, abuse, credit hire and motor law.

The firm are going through an exciting time of growth, and are recruiting across their nationwide offices to cope with a growing demand for their services. They are looking to bring in the next wave of noise induced hearing loss file handlers whilst offering a strong progression pathway and the ability to move into other departments in the future. The firm also offer training contracts to individuals with the right attitude and work ethic.

Your new role
As a noise induced hearing loss paralegal/file handler, you will handle your own caseload of predominately litigated NIHL claims, in a supported team environment. Whilst also managing and progressing claims in accordance with appropriate strategies to secure desired outcomes for clients at appropriate levels of profitability. The File Handler is required to have experience of NIHL claims and to demonstrate an ability to deal with a caseload of litigated claims. Other accountabilities may include:

  • Reviewing documents and preparing reports
  • Dealing with disclosure
  • Reviewing evidence (including medical / personnel records)
  • Conducting investigations with Insured / obtaining witness statements
  • Instructing Counsel / Experts
  • Research
  • Drafting generally
  • Attending conferences and Trials with Counsel


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this position, it is essential tat you have gained legal experience working with noise and/or personal injury in either a litigated or pre-litigated environment. Having a degree is essential, and ideally you will have done your LPC too.

What you'll get in return
If successful in your application for this role, you will receive a competitive salary up to £30,000, dependant on your experience and academics. The firm offer excellent growth and progression routes, where you can receive a training contract or possibly move into another area of the firm to handle cases of a higher value.
