Permanent Litigation Lawyer –– Up to £47,665 –– Predominately Remote Working –– West Midlands
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an ambitious Local Authority in the West Midlands area who are recruiting for a Permanent Litigation Lawyer to join their department.
Expected duration: Permanent Position
Expected Salary: £43,570-£47,665
Skill level: Qualified Lawyer (Solicitors and Barristers CILEX Fellows)
Working pattern: Predominantly Remote Working but attending the office 1 day a week is preferred + Full Time Hours
(Please note that candidates that have the relevant experience but only can work on a part time basis will also be considered)
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within Local Government and have the ability to effectively manage a busy and varied caseload.
Duties may include:
Overseeing the supervision of junior members of staff as required
Holding a full caseload of housing matters including issues such as Possession, Disrepair, Homelessness, Debt Recovery, Unlawful Evictions, ASB Injunctions
Carrying out criminal prosecution procedures alongside general civil litigation
Advising on Employment Law matters and completing Tribunal claims
Dealing with all relevant licensing issues
Negotiating costs and instructing other lawyers on housing matters
Attending Committee Hearings and Injunction Hearings on behalf of Clients
Offering an attractive salary of up to £47,665 is offered for this position dependent on experience.
