Job Summary

NHS Resolution is a not-for-profit part of the NHS working for health care providers to resolve claims fairly and to share learning across the NHS and beyond.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Early Notification Case Manager on a secondment or fixed term basis for 12 months within the Early Notification Team. This team proactively investigates maternity incidents (i.e. brain injuries at birth) for the purposes of determining whether clinical negligence has caused any harm and empathetically communicating responses to families and their representatives. This is an innovative and high profile scheme with leadership and development opportunities.

You will have a proven record of accomplishment in dealing with high value clinical negligence claims involving maximum severity of birth injury cases and other complex maternity claims with difficult legal issues (predominantly brain injury and cerebral palsy cases), as well as the ability to lead and collaborate with stakeholders on projects. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a high level of legal knowledge as well as excellent analytical and communication skills, oral and written communication skills, organisational skills, ability to multi-task and experienced in successfully managing a demanding workload to tight deadlines.

Further information about NHS Resolution can be found on our website www.resolution.nhs.uk . Please refer to NHS Jobs link below for job description.

We provide a supportive environment for our staff and the opportunity to utilise and expand your expertise in health care work. Our staff and teams in all business areas are fully supported in working remotely, however we do operate from two-office location and office attendance may be required.

The roles can be based in London, Leeds or home based setting. Benefits include access to the NHS pension scheme, a minimum of 27 days holiday and a variety of flexible working options, including home working.
