Legal Services Officer - Litigation

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

£29,227 - £30,765 per year

We have an opportunity for a Legal Services Officer to join our Litigation team that sits within the wider Legal Services function, based in Worcester. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, motivated and accountable individual to join an established team and contribute to its development. We focus on solving problems and outcomes rather than highlighting difficulties that need to be overcome and work to make real and measurable differences to people’s lives.

The role of Legal Services Officer - Litigation will include:

  • Handling litigation to include a mix of possession, injunction and disrepair work
  • Dealing with administrative processes to support litigation
  • Issuing instructions to, and liaising with Sanctuary’s external solicitors
  • Identifying areas of the process which needs improvement
  • Providing support across the business with first line legal queries

Skills and experiences:

  • Paralegal experience or similar working within litigation
  • Working knowledge of landlord and tenant law, statutory provisions and current best practice
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work loads
  • Experience of handling an independent caseload with a good attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ethos for team working
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
