Legal Officer – Conveyancing
Worcester based with a balance of home and office working
£29,227 per year
Temporary position for up to 12 months
We are looking for 2 Legal Officers – Conveyancing to join our legal services team based at Head Office. As a Legal Officer you will be responsible for progressing your own caseload of legal transactions which will include staircasing transactions, lease extensions, surrender and re-grants, licence to assign and plot sales. As part of our Legal Services Team, you can help to protect and guide Sanctuary Housing Association with solution-based advice. We focus on solving problems and outcomes rather than highlighting difficulties that need to be overcome and work to make real and measurable differences to people’s lives.
The role of Legal Officer – Conveyancing will include:
- Delivering high quality legal services, including the provision of accurate and timely legal advice and support on legal transactions
- Undertaking any re-sale and plot sale transactions that fall under the Conveyancing team
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations to ensure the management and protection of asset values and legal interests
- Providing accurate and timely legal advice and information to all stakeholders
- Using accurate recording and reporting methods to keep data up to date and accessible to those who need to access it
Skills and experiences:
- GCILEX or CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) Level 6
- Proven ability to work on Conveyancing transactions
- Plots Sales experience would be an advantage
- Experience working in a legal role
- Working knowledge of property law, and current best practice
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Knowledge of asset management software, preferably SAP
- Experienced user in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
