New! Charities Solicitor | Great Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a qualified Solicitor to join our clients Charities team in Bristol. The role will be acting for all types of charities and third sector organisations.

A typical caseload for this position will be:

– Preparing governing documents for new charities and other voluntary/third sector organisations including social enterprises, incorporating the same where necessary; – Drafting and submitting applications for registration of new charities to the Charity Commission; – Drafting applications to HMRC for recognition of charitable status and dealing with governance reviews and other queries for existing charitable and third sector clients.

In addition, the team also works on collaboration and co-operation agreements between organisations, mergers and other transfer agreements, land registry transfers and post completion registrations at HMRC and the Land Registry.

The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in the preparation of presentations, training and workshops and attend business development events.

Candidates are expected to have a working knowledge of trust and land law and an interest in learning about the various areas of law relating to charities and other voluntary sector organisations.
