Landlord & Tenant Lawyer
A national award winning law firm with an office in Leeds require a Landlord & Tenant Lawyer who is technically able and commercially aware to join their Landlord and Tenant team. The firm offers hybrid working including a mix being of office and remote based.
The Landlord and Tenant Lawyer will predominantly deal with commercial banking recoveries claims for a major banking client (including money judgement and possession claims) and a wide range of commercial and residential landlord & tenant disputes on behalf of individuals, businesses and financial institutions.
The role includes assisting the team leader of the Landlord and Tenant team and may involve supervisory responsibilities. The work is challenging but rewarding and the team places a high value on mutual support and co-operation.
In providing support to the case handlers in the department you will be running a caseload of landlord & tenant and banking recovery cases. You will also assist the team leader of the Landlord and Tenant team with supervisory duties.
The ability to meet strict deadlines and to comply with service standards will be essential.
Skills/Competencies and Experience required:
- Intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness and practicality
-Proven experience in dealing with landlord and tenant disputes and banking litigation at solicitor level
-Supervisory experience is essential
-Ability to deal flexibly with a wide range of work types, work sources and clients
-Confidence to take responsibility for cases, relationships and strategy
-Excellent communication skills
-Capable of working with a case management system
The successful Landlord & Tenant Lawyer may be a qualified solicitor, Barrister or FCILEx or with equivalent experience.
Salary to £45,000
