Third lawyer role with an exciting and growing fintech scale-up in London, reporting to the General Counsel

Your new company
An expanding fintech start-up with first-mover advantage on a unique SaaS product in the quant and trading space. With a more mature set up than many start-ups, this company is looking to transition to scale-up and is rapidly increasing headcount in its core functions, With an international expansion also continuing, the business is well placed to flourish.

Your new role
A Legal Counsel position reporting to the General Counsel as the third lawyer in the business. You will support the business in relation to fundraising rounds, corporate structuring and corporate transactions, while negotiating and reviewing complex agreements to further the company's progress. Assisting in corporate governance, structuring and ad hoc employment/data privacy matters, you will use your experience in fast-paced fin-tech environments to proactively add value across the organisation. You will regularly liaise with functional teams and senior stakeholders across the company, including the CEO. If necessary, you will be equipped to step into the GC's shoes on occasion. Experience in an international business, particularly with US involvement, would be a bonus.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be qualified lawyer with strong academics and proven experience in a busy fintech. Knowledge of fundraising rounds and familiarity with corporate transactions/structuring and commercial SaaS agreements would be beneficial. You will be inquisitive about the business and thrive in building relationships with stakeholders across the organisation. A proactive mentality towards developing the business and supporting its international growth will be key.
