We are looking for an enthusiastic solicitor to lead our busy team dealing with contract and commercial matters who will ensure it functions in the most cost-effective and efficient way.  The team covers an extensive range of contract and commercial issues but also provides advice in relation to governance issues generally.  You should have a sound working knowledge of commercial and procurement law as well as an understanding of company law as the Council owns a number of other companies.  In addition to managing the team, you will also advise clients (both internal and external) on complex legal matters and carry your own legal caseload.  Given that the majority of work in the team is of a commercial nature you should have a relevant level of specialism in this area.
