Kennedys is looking for an Associate based in Birmingham to work on clinical negligence matters for medical malpractice insurers and their UK and international insured healthcare providers.

This is a great opportunity for candidates who have an interest in this area to join a highly reputable Division, ranked in the top tier for Defendant Clinical Negligence in both Chambers and Legal 500.

Team

The Healthcare division advise the NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts and medical malpractice insurers of private hospitals, clinics and practitioners on EL/PL and clinical negligence claims. The team also advise on medical insurance coverage, health law advice and regulatory matters and represent clients at inquests, regulatory hearings and judicial reviews. The team have a presence across our London, Cambridge, Birmingham, Sheffield and some of our global offices.

  • Medical malpractice insurers and their insured
  • Insured independent Hospital Groups
  • Insured healthcare practitioners

Cases

  • A wide range of clinical negligence claims and regulatory cases.

Required experience

  • 0-5 years' UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified with the relevant experience*

  • Previous client contact and attendance at business development events
  • Good knowledge of clinical negligence litigation process and Civil Procedure Rules
