Job Details
This is a superb opportunity for a corporate lawyer who has already started to develop some expertise in energy sector corporate work or is interested in developing a sector focus in this growth area.
You will be joining one of the largest corporate practices in the UK outside of London. They are rated not just for the quality of the corporate work they undertake, but have also won awards or been rated for employee satisfaction and client service.
You will have the opportunity to deal with a wide range of corporate work on behalf of household name clients. There is an opportunity to take on greater levels of responsibility and the team are very supportive of their junior lawyers. There will also be the opportunity to specialise in energy sector work and in particular wind, solar, wave, hydro, biomass and landfill gas generation projects.
You should ideally have trained with a strong regional or city practice or perhaps in an in-house role within the energy sector and either be coming up to qualification or have recently qualified.
Whilst many firms use the tired adage "work hard, play hard" in this case it really is true. This firm do expect top quality lawyers who provide excellent client service, but equally they recognise everyone has interests and a life outside of work and it is important for the team and the firm to support these too.
