Court of Protection Solicitor

This Top 200 law firm has ambitious growth plans for the next 3 years. In line with their continued growth, are now looking for an 1-4yrs PQE Court of Protection Solicitor, to be based anywhere in East Sussex or West Sussex.

• You will be working with the busy and growing team, making now an exciting time to join. This team is home to a number of experienced Partners across multiple offices allowing for an element of flexible working
• Your role will have a focus on court of protection matters, where you will manage a caseload comprising of complex matters including: acquired brain injuries; mental health issues; learning difficulties and the elderly
• Your caseload will consist of deputyship applications; disputed LPAs; lifetime gifting and advance decisions and Statutory Wills. Cases will be complex consisting of higher asset levels

The ideal candidate

• You will be a Private Client Solicitor with 1-4 years PQE
• You will have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a team
• Relevant experience working in a private client department, with a passion for Court of Protection work
• Some knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act would be highly desirable
• This role comes with excellent prospects for career progression
