In house legal counsel

The ideal candidate will manage contract review, disputes, compliance, and corporate governance and to advise on various inquiries for subsidiaries in Middle East and Africa, and to manage digital transformation-related matters such as compliance with data protection laws and drafting and updating of privacy policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract management

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for a range of topics such as sales (distribution, master supply), procurement (goods, services), tenancy, service centers, outsourced staffing, product assembly (i.e., C/SKD)

Dispute management

• Manage various types of disputes along with outside counsel. Handle dispute related activities throughout the life of the dispute (advising on selection of outside counsel, negotiating legal fees, monitoring outside counsel, analyzing legal framework and advising management on the company’s position and potential outcomes, tracking expenditures)

Compliance

• Implement policies and programs and deliver trainings pertaining to competition laws and anti-bribery, monitoring and analyzing data protection laws and trends, generally monitoring and advising on compliance with laws and regulations

Corporate governance

• Implement corporate governance activities, advising on legal ramifications and satisfying documentary requirements related to entity/branch formation and other adjustments to corporate structures

Advise on various inquiries

• Advise management and multiple stakeholders on a variety of legal issues

Qualifications

• PQE 3 ~ 6 years 
• Other skills: Experience and knowledge in digital transformation
• Language: English (native)
