Solicitor
- Location: remote working but will need to attend police stations in Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich and courts in the region.

Main responsibility is to undertake Criminal Defence work as an advocate managing a caseload and provide a profitable contribution to a successful Crime team undertaking Duty Solicitor responsibilities by inclusion on duty rota’s for Court & Police Stations.
This role involves but is not limited to: -
- Managing a full caseload and ongoing work as part of a team
- Servicing your Duty Solicitor Rotas on a regular basis
- Manage Magistrate and Crown Court casework effectively
- police station and prison attendances
- Good advocacy skills in court
- Ability to interview clients and witnesses
- Providing written advice and drafting legal documents within deadlines
- Sound knowledge of Criminal law with at least two years PQE
- Flexibility to travel, attend courts and work out of hours as required
- Maintain accreditation and CPD
- Maintaining departmental standards, procedures and policies (SQM)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years legal crime experience
- Full UK Driving licence is desirable
- Ability to work independently as well as being an excellent team player

- An ability to work compliantly
