COSTS LAWYER / DRAFTSPERSON
A costs lawyer / draftsperson is required by this national costs team at a top 100 UK law firm in Manchester.
Role Overview
The costs work arises from multitrack cases predominately in the context of the full range of personal injury work and other areas of litigation undertaken by the firm.
Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking and costs draftsperson with the following experience/characteristics:
- Proven experience handling your own caseload. The job requires someone who can predominantly work autonomously.
- Assessing and negotiating settlement of multi-track costs, including handling of related costs proceedings
- Drafting own party and opposing third party cost budgets, pursuing costs recoveries, including bill drafting,
Advocacy at telephone or in person court hearings - Must have experience drafting points of dispute, points of reply, costs budgets and bills of costs.
