The Devon & Cornwall and Dorset Police & Crime Commissioners are seeking to recruit up to 5 legally qualified Chairs who may each be required to preside over 3 – 4 misconduct hearings per year for Devon & Cornwall Police and Dorset Police.

Applications are sought from qualified lawyers who can demonstrate integrity and independence of mind, commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, analysis, sound judgement and an objective approach to issues presented.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo security vetting and training. You must satisfy the judicial appointment eligibility condition on a 5-year basis as set out in section 50 of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007.
