Hertfordshire County Council offers an ideal opportunity for highly motivated, enthusiastic and organised Lawyers to join a large and thriving public sector legal team.
The Lexcel accredited Legal Services is based in the beautiful Grade II listed County Hall in Hertford, within easy reach by train of North and East London. With over 100 employees, it is one of the largest legal departments in local government and provides a full legal service across all specialisms to both the Council and to other public sector bodies.
We are looking to grow our successful Property Law Team, which is central to the broad portfolio of legal work connected with Hertfordshire’s major infrastructure and regeneration projects, and supporting the wider growth and development agenda for the County. The Property Law Team provides legal advice and assistance to client departments and District Councils on a wide range of property issues and transactions, and also offers the opportunity to be involved in supporting a number of the Council’s major infrastructure and community facing projects.
Applicants who are interested in part-time or fixed term roles are welcome to apply.
Previous experience of working within a Local Authority environment would be useful but is not essential. It is possible that the role involves travel to other parts of Hertfordshire so access to your own transport would be beneficial.
