Job Details
A highly regarded and restructured law firm in central York are looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their busy team. This role would be perfect for a Solicitor looking to move to an established firm and ideally, you will have experience in dealing with new build matters.
The firm have gone from strength to strength over their years of establishment, faired well throughout the pandemic and have transitioned seamlessly into a hybrid style of working with 2 days in the office and the rest of the week from home. They are well known for their happy and friendly working environment and open-door policy amongst the Directors and more senior members of the department.
The role
- You will be responsible for your own caseload of Residential files covering sales and purchases, transfers of equity, buy to let, and remortgages, to name a few
- You will work in a team of one conveyancer, one assistant and a Paralegal
- You will be responsible for each transaction from instruction all the way through to completion
- Supporting clients and keeping them updated through regular communication and correspondence, building solid relationships along the way
- Liaising closely with estate agents to initiate exchange with minimal risk
The ideal candidate
- You will be an experienced Solicitor with 2+ years PQE.
- The ability to work under pressure and maintain excellent client care is essential
- The firm are open in terms of qualification so whether you are a Chartered Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer or an un-qualified Fee Earner I would still urge you to apply.
