Commercial Lawyer (Optional Public Sector & Procurement Focus)

Our client is a Legal 100 practice enjoying an enviable reputation in Commercial, Contract & Procurement Services.  The team offers expertise which is second to none and reflected in its impressive portfolio of clients.  Retained by a vast number of businesses (from entrepreneurs to PLC's), Government & Public Bodies and the Third/Not for Profit sectors, the quality and diversity of instructions are exceptional. 

Applications are welcome from lawyers with a broad foundation and background in non-contentious, commercial instructions. There is also the opportunity to focus on niche areas of public sector contracting, state aid  and public/private sector collaborations.   Typical instructions and projects include: 

·       Mainstream commercial contracts (TOB’s, distribution, franchise & agency)

·       Data and Information Governance

·       State aid, public procurement, and grant funding arrangements 

·       Health, housing, education and transport sector projects 

·       Advising public authorities on both statutory and internal constitutional compliance regimes

·       Brexit related advice and projects 

You will also have the opportunity to be engaged in a range of instructions arising out of the commercial sector.  Clients operate across various industries including Retail, Leisure, Logistics, Manufacturing, R&D, Technology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Entertainment and Sports. 

The nature of this role and the instructions undertaken requires not less than 4 years' expertise.
