Private Client Solicitor/Fee Earner

Well-established North Yorkshire law firm are seeking to appoint an experienced Wills & Probate Solicitor/FILEX to join their busy private client department in York/Selby/Malton, North Yorkshire (location is flexible).

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop their career in a growing firm with genuine long-term opportunities.

Their busy Private Client team specialises in Wills, LPAs, the administration of Estates, Trusts and Tax advice. Certain members of the Private Client Team also specialise in charity law and, in conjunction with others, contentious probate.

You will be expected to be involved in networking and business development and to generate new clients and contacts as well as maintaining current relationships.

The role will involve the drafting of Wills & Lasting Powers of Attorney, dealing with both simple and complex estates sometimes involving Inheritance Tax & Probate.

You will need:

• At least 2 years experience handling own caseload of  the full range of wills and probate matters.
• Good IT skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills as well as high standards of client care.
• A keen interest in business development and an enthusiasm to network and engage with introducers and to develop and maintain a thriving caseload.
