Our client is seeking a trainee, paralegal or solicitor (from 0-7 years' PQE) to undertake a mixed caseload of litigation and insolvency work.
Your role might include some/all of:
- Property disputes - boundary disputes, section 25/21 claims, TOLATA claims.
- Commercial disputes - anything from small claims to multi-track.
- High-court litigation may take place on insolvency matters.
- Bringing in part 8/part 7 claims.
- Insolvency applications against directors.
- Contract disputes.
- Shareholder disputes.
The team regularly use external counsel given the high-value of the work on offer.
For junior lawyers, there is sufficient level of expertise in the firm to offer high-quality supervision and training. For more experienced lawyers, you can work relatively on your own terms - and your role can be quite remote if you wish.
Holiday is 25 days + the firm closes for the entire Christmas break.
There is a pension scheme (of 5% employer contribution) and private healthcare.
Remote working - the firm allows hybrid working for 4 days out of 5 days (so long as the lawyer is sufficiently experienced to be able to work remotely).
Despite the high-quality work on offer, the office is deserted from around 5.30 pm everyday. So there's no long hours working culture.
The firm has had impressive growth in the last 5 years and are happy to talk this through in person with lawyers. They are investing heavily in IT and support structure and online marketing. Their management team is streamlined, meaning decisions on important matters can be made very quickly.
Salary is undisclosed, however, it is meritocratic and there is also a discretionary bonus and a profit share. Billing targets and the range of billing within the firm can be shared with potential candidates. There is a career structure, which can be shared with potential candidates.
