About the job
In order to support our expansion and growing clientele, we are actively recruiting for an Employment Solicitor to join our innovative and motivated team. This position will be preferably based in our Hove offices. This role is ideal for a solicitor possessing 1-3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) who is interested in taking the next step in their career.
As a new role within our company, our Employment Solicitor will have the opportunity to build and spearhead a team to advance our service offerings in the field of Employment law. This role will be proactively participating in the firm’s marketing efforts, including the writing and publication of blogs, seminars and attending networking events with the support of our in-house HR Manager.
The responsibilities for this role encompass managing your own caseload, with support from our broader experienced team. This role will entail representing both employer and employee clients in a variety of legal matters both contentious and non-contentious. This role will also involve dealing with and advising on the ACAS and Tribunal process as well as drafting Tribunal forms and orders.
Efficient file management is of utmost importance, including meeting deadlines, adhering to established precedents, and uploading letters and documents onto the case management system, therefore, proficiency in computer skills is a prerequisite for this role. This role operates within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, under the guidance of our directors.
A bit about you
You will have experience as a fee earner and in employment tribunal proceedings. You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding in employment law matters and knowledge of the ACAS guidelines and Employment Tribunal Rules.
You will possess exceptional client-handling and negotiation skills, robust verbal and written communication abilities, and a commitment to establishing strong client relationships. You will exhibit meticulous attention to detail, along with exceptional organisational skills. Proficiency in using case management software, such as LEAP, is preferred.
