🙌 The Role

In-house lawyer

We are looking for a legal counsel to join our legal team. You will be expected to review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts with third party suppliers and provide support on the day-to-day management of commercial and contractual queries. 

You need to have qualified with a well-regarded law firm or in-house, with experience of having worked in-house. More importantly, you will have the confidence to work independently within your knowledge and experience, although appropriate support and development opportunities will be available.  Attention to detail and excellent written & verbal communications skills are a must.

Ideally, we are looking for working knowledge/experience in:

  • Minimum 5 years PQE (with some in-house experience)
  • Commercial contracts experience (including experience in drafting various types of legal documents including outsourcing agreements, master service agreements, SaaS contracts and licences)
  • Taking responsibility for contracts with suppliers including handling  contract reviews and negotiations, all contractual amendments or supplements as needed
  • Assisting and advising on any disputes
  • Advising internal teams on relevant contract terms, their interpretation and application, and supporting them in ensuring that existing practices are in line with contractual obligations
  • Experience and confidence in leading complex negotiations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Providing support to non-legal workstreams as necessary
  • Desirable - In-house financial services – motor finance, asset finance etc.
