A new vacancy has become available with a leading regional firm in its Dewsbury office. The firm is looking to recruit a Solicitor or FCILEX into its Child Abuse Compensation Department, applications from candidates with a Personal Injury background are welcomed, no prior experience within child abuse compensation is required as full training will be provided. 

This firm is a forward-thinking firm of Solicitors, committed to a diverse working environment, with a strong reputation in the market and has been established for over 70 years. 

The Child Abuse Compensation Department is a national leader in the niche area of abuse law, and is involved in landmark cases, specifically in abuse suffered in foster care. The team has acted as the lead Solicitor for large groups of survivors who suffered abuse in children's homes and detention centres and have been instrumental in the development of scheme cases. 

To be considered for this Child Abuse Solicitor you will be a Solicitor or FCILEX and have a background in Personal Injury Claims and/or Civil Litigation. 

Previous experience of pursuing multi-track cases to trial, including attendance on Cost and Case Management Conferences and Cost Budgeting is also ideal. If you have experience in dealing with CICA claims and drafting bill of costs/conducting costs negotiations, this would be a clear advantage.
