Are you an experienced partner specialising in commercial property / real estate? Do you want to leave the rat race to work on your own terms?

Then Jurit LLP could be the place for you.

We are offering the unique opportunity to inherit a successful, high-quality Commercial Property practice due to an impending retirement.

This opportunity should appeal to a successful, partner with in-depth experience in commercial property / real estate, who has the entrepreneurial flair to grow their own and an inherited practice on their own terms.

Jurit LLP is a virtual law firm whose lawyers operate on an entirely remote basis.

A Legal 500 ‘One to Watch’ (2024) firm, we are made up of a team of over 40 people based across the UK – many of whom are lawyers who have come from Top 20 or Magic Circle firms or were in-house counsel at FTSE 100 companies.

Our practice provides City of London levels of service to a diverse array of large and small clients located nationally and internationally.

At Jurit, we all share common ambitions and values, and a focus on delivering expert insight and outstanding client service, with an appreciation that work is just one aspect of life.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the benefits of working flexibly on their own terms, but is able to collaborate well with colleagues.

With that in mind, we would like to recruit a partner who has the entrepreneurial flair to develop and grow the practice, delivering trusted advice founded on outstanding service, with the support of a fantastic infrastructure of practice management, accountants, marketing and business development professionals.

We offer:

  • An attractive remuneration structure (earnings between 80% - 90% of billing dependent upon level of billing).
  • 20% of fees billed on work referred internally to others.
  • A share of residual profit at the end of the financial year.
  • Infrastructure support – from IT, finance, business development and marketing.
  • The freedom to work from home or wherever you choose.
  • A great team of likeminded individuals to work alongside.
  • Professional Indemnity insurance cover.

The role:

You will lead the Commercial Property practice at Jurit, and will be entrusted with inheriting a range of established clients, whilst also developing your own practice.

You will:

  • Inherit an established practice
  • Have the ability to absorb and deliver on an existing high-quality client base
  • Have the ability and experience in managing complex cases
  • Have a strong grounding in all aspects of property law with relevant experience and a track record of successfully handling commercial property transactions at a senior level, including:
    • Acting for developers, funds, property companies, trusts and syndicates.
    • In property development investments, regeneration, co-ownership and property partnership joint ventures
  • Collaborate well with your peers on internal referrals
  • Be adept at undertaking the general responsibilities of partnership.

Key skills:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor of England & Wales.
  • Have at least 10 years+ PQE.
  • Be a top-quality solicitor with a track record
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to foster strong relationships through oral and written communication
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Strong business development skills
  • Ability to identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Excellent judgement
  • Ability to think strategically for the long term
  • A clear and logical approach
  • Adaptability – ability to be flexible and agile to meet the needs of clients and colleagues
  • Able to work virtually
  • Proficient in your use of IT

If candidates have a team they would like to bring with them we are happy to discuss.
