Location: Cambridge, UK

Company: We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join a dynamic in-house legal team based in Cambridge. This organisation operates within the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on crucial products that profoundly impact individuals' lives.

 

Role Overview: The Junior Legal Counsel position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a wide range of legal work within an in-house environment. While the role covers various legal aspects, candidates with experience in commercial contracts are of particular interest. Whether you're a qualified solicitor, an ILEX member, or possess relevant experience as a paralegal (2 years contracts experience minimum), we welcome applications from individuals eager to contribute and grow within our team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Providing legal support and advice on GDPR compliance.
  • Handling intellectual property issues related to pharmaceutical products.
  • Collaborating with our compliance team to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong background in commercial contracts is essential – 2 years’ experience as a minimum.
  • Familiarity with GDPR regulations and intellectual property law is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow within the role.

 

Work Arrangement: Initially, the role requires working in the Cambridge office three days a week to facilitate training and integration into the team. However, as you become acclimated, there may be opportunities for remote work flexibility.
