Role Overview:
We are seeking an accredited Housing Law Supervisor to join our top-tier legal aid Housing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and experience in Housing Law, with a demonstrated passion for publicly funded housing cases. While previous experience as an Housing Supervisor is not necessary, a commitment to excellent client care and a proactive professional approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
·       Report directly to the Department Director
·       Assist with a range of housing matters (LAA Funded and Private client work)
·       Undertake your own advocacy and attend court sessions
·       Prepare cases, draft documents, and handle correspondence
·       Manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency
·       Ensure compliance with file management and time-costing procedures
·       Supervise up to four supervisees (FTE) and ensure their tasks are appropriately allocated
·       Supervise and train casework assistants, trainees, and senior caseworkers
·       Allocate matters to senior caseworkers and oversee their progress
·       Delegate tasks to casework assistants and trainee casework assistants

Key Skills Required:
·       Strong academic background with a Law degree and Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE
·       Experience and accredited as a Housing Solicitor
·       Clear understanding and application of Housing Laws
·       Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
·       Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals
·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
·       Proven ability to supervise and train junior staff, ensuring effective delegation and task management
