We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Costs Department, working to maximise costs recovery and manage a diverse caseload effectively.

The role involves handling PI Multi Track cases, including Serious Injuries, Asbestos, Clinical Negligence, and high costs matters, from the preparation of cost budgets to advocacy stages.

We would particularly like to hear from excellent communicators with strong advocacy skills and a keenness to attend hearings. As well as experience in personal injury case handling or costs recovery in Multi Track matters, we are keen to hear from team players who can also work independently and trained to a high level in the CPR.

In return for your outstanding skills and experience, we offer £4,000 car allowance in addition to base salary, contributory pension scheme, 5 days additional leave over Christmas, Healthcare Cash Plan (Medicash), Life assurance, 25 days annual leave (in addition to bank holidays), Employee Assistance Programme, Enhanced maternity and paternity pay, Cycle to work scheme, Organised sports and social club, Annual travel and parking loans and Financial assistance for professional development.

For 100 years, leading social justice law firm, Thompsons Solicitors, has been fighting for the rights of the injured and mistreated and changing lives for the better. Since 1921, we have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with trade unions to implement key legal reforms and give a voice to those who might otherwise have been disadvantaged and marginalised.

So unless your current firm can offer all of this, please apply today.

Company

Thompsons Solicitors was first established in 1921 by founder and leading civil rights lawyer, W. H. Thompson. Driven by a vision to protect and deliver justice for working people, his aspiration led Thompsons Solicitors to establish itself as the most experienced personal injury law firm in the UK.

For over 90 years, Thompsons Solicitors has helped injured people to secure hundreds of millions of pounds in compensation. Our team of committed personal injury specialists have decades of experience running, and winning, personal injury claimsworkplace accident claimsroad crash claimsmedical negligence claimsindustrial disease claims and asbestos claims.

Our team’s empathy and legal skill are regularly recognised by leading legal industry guides, including Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500, and we retain high levels of client satisfaction.

Providing an exceptional legal service to clients during the exceptional circumstances which follow a personal injury or medical accident, an accident at work or industrial disease diagnosis is Thompsons Solicitors’ top priority. This includes highly-trained and friendly teams who invest their specialist expertise into every claim, as well as close links with leading charities and support groups who help families to access additional support and services.

Unlike other personal injury law firms, Thompsons Solicitors is 100 per cent committed to claimant only work: that means that we only ever represent the injured or mistreated person, and never the people, organisations or insurance companies liable for paying out for those injuries. You can learn more about this unique commitment and the benefits it holds for our clients by reading Our Pledge.

Minimising any stress and ensuring there is no financial risk to clients of making a personal injury claim is an important element of our service. Thompsons Solicitors prides itself on securing the maximum amount of personal injury compensation in the shortest possible time; keeping our clients fully informed about every stage of their case, and being open and transparent about how much personal injury compensation clients are likely to secure – putting you in control of your case.
