An award-winning Manchester-based law firm is currently looking to recruit an experienced Business Development and Marketing Manager to assist with the development and review of the business development strategy.

This role is to support a mature structure with existing clients. The firm is well known for its insurance legal services, so this role would be much more aligned to an account management role that explores opportunities with existing clients.

You will be required to have at least 2 years’ experience within a Business Development role within a legal service environment.

You will have previous experience in supporting on a range of bids and an understanding of the bid process at a high level.

Location:           Manchester – 2 days in the office and 3 days from home

Salary:                £35,000 – £40,000

Role:

  • Sharing key metrics where appropriate as well as supporting the delivery of a range of bids and tenders – ensuring the firm's response to formal client panel reviews, RFIs, ITTs and RFPs is properly managed and co-ordinated
  • You will deliver on a range of business development activities and tasks and ensure that all relevant business development plans and logs are maintained and kept up to date in order to help drive the right BD activity including the development of a workable bid library
  • When needed, you will be expected to set up and attend a range of BD meetings with the BD Director in order to facilitate targeting efforts whilst working with the marketing team to ensure BD activities are aligned with marketing activities on a day-to-day basis
  • You will support the development and delivery of a range of BD collateral on behalf of the business including capability statements, informal proposals and presentations
