CRIMINAL DUTY SOLICITOR

Busy Lancashire Solicitors firm require  an experienced Criminal Duty Solicitor to join the Criminal Department.

Key skills required:-

• Duty and Police Station accredited.
• Magistrates’ Court advocacy.
• Committed team player.
• Excellent client care skills and ability to deal with client matters in a sensitive manner to deal with vulnerable clients.
• Analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to use own initiative and sound judgement.
• Working knowledge of publicly funded crime work and have the ability to service privately funded cases.
• Have extensive experience in handling a Criminal Defence caseload.

We look to recruit a dedicated and talented employee and this role will include:-

• Magistrates’ Court advocacy/Trials.
• Case Preparation.
• Attending to clients both in and outside of office hours.
• Police Station and Court duty rota.
• Salary range £35k - £50k.
