Property Locum Lawyer

We are working with a Local Authority in the Berkshire Region looking for a Property Locum Lawyer to join their department for an initial 3-month period.

The successful candidate must be a UK qualified Solicitor with at least 12 months’ experience in dealing with the following:

• Matters including acquisitions and disposals, right to buy transactions, leases and licences, deeds of variation, deeds of surrender, rent reviews
• Assisting on development projects Acting on behalf of the council as landowner and advising on property transactions, land law and practices within the context of the public sector
• Good knowledge and experience in Regeneration matters is desirable

You will need to have experience of handling your own legal caseload. Previous Property legal experience in a local authority is essential.

Pay rate is between £45-55 per hour.

The local authority is looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible. Due to the urgent nature of the role, we are looking to speak to candidates available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice.
