Job Details

The Crown Prosecution Service is recruiting a Director of Transformation and Change, to provide positive leadership and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

About the Crown Prosecution Service 

At the Crown Prosecution Service, we are responsible for delivering justice through the independent and effective prosecution of crime. We employ over 7,000 people across England and Wales, from lawyers and caseworkers to finance and human resources professionals. Our work is supported by an executive group of colleagues, who play a key role in shaping our vision and objectives, inspiring engagement from senior leaders, and ensuring we provide a professional, efficient and high-quality service.

About the role 

In this critical leadership role, you work with the Chief Operating Officer and executive group to provide specialist knowledge and strategic direction for our business change, transformation and continuous improvement agenda.

You drive improvements to our service delivery and performance by developing business change and transformation programmes, identifying risks, and setting our corporate approach to performance management. You represent the Crown Prosecution Service across the criminal justice system and wider Civil Service, engaging with partner agencies to influence key decisions and build support for our business change activities.

About you 

We’re looking for an experienced leader, successful in delivering strategic transformation, change leadership and programme management within a multi-agency environment. You have excellent communication and engagement skills, which help to build confidence and support for our work. Knowledge of business change techniques and methodologies, experience of developing performance management frameworks, and professional qualifications such as Chartered Project Professional are desirable.
