Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your career in-house in a unique environment? 

As our University Solicitor you will provide high level specialist legal advice in the support of the delivery of the University’s strategy. With extensive experience in the provision of contractual and legal advice, you will take the lead on and manage a complex and varied workload, building strong, productive relationships with stakeholders across the University and with external partners.

Your approach will be flexible and adaptable, and you will bring a wide range of legal experience, knowledge, and skills across the areas of contracts and commercial, regulatory and compliance.  You will manage the contract with the University's external legal advisors for matters where external input is required, ensuring that actionable advice is provided to managers across the University in an efficient and effective manner.

Whilst the focus of the role relates to advice on contractual matters, there are opportunities to get involved in providing wider legal advice to the University both directly and in managing the provision of specialist external advice.

This role is offered on a full-time basis, we are able to accommodate applications for part-time hours, a minimum of 3 days per week (0.6FTE).
