Solicitor/Senior Solicitor - Inquests & Advocacy Team

A well-established law firm are seeking an experienced Solicitor or Senior Solicitor to join their Inquests & Advocacy team in either their Bristol or Southampton office. This team is highly regarded for its expertise in representing NHS Trusts as well as health and social care organisations. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex and high-profile cases, including some of the largest inquests in the UK.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the full range of challenges associated with inquests, investigations, critical conclusions, and adverse publicity. You will be involved in advising clients on how to handle investigations, working closely with the Coroner's Court, liaising with regulatory bodies such as the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), and providing support in responding to reports to Prevent Future Deaths.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive experience in inquest and advocacy work, particularly in healthcare or regulatory matters.
• A strong understanding of the legal risks and procedural requirements involved in Coroner's inquests, FAIs, and related inquiries.
• Experience in liaising with various bodies, including HSE, and understanding the broader implications of inquest outcomes.
• The ability to work proactively and independently, whilst also being a team player.
